Copy the style of BET Awards – Stonebwoy tells Ghanaian event organizers

Dancehall artiste Stonebwoy has advised Ghanaian event organizers to emulate the “attitudes” of the people behind the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards in order to achieve event organization excellence.

He told Joy News’ Benedict Owusu in Houston, Texas, the quality of event organization in the country would change

“if only we would work hard at it and change our attitudes as a people.”

The ‘Migraine‘ act was the only Ghanaian representative at the 2017 edition of the awards scheme. He won the Best International Act: Africa award in 2015, and lost this year’s edition to Nigerian artiste WizKid.

“I’ve been here (BET Awards) a number of times and witnessing it over again and what comes to mind is how they intentionally make it happen each time,” said Stonebwoy.

“It is well planned and coordinated with great execution and that’s one of the things I have learned.

We have to work more on how we go about our show organisation to make it look like how the advanced countries do it with finesse.”
