Award winning Ghanaian gospel diva Joyce Blessing in an exclusive inteview with Hellogh.com last Sunday 18th June 2017 disclosed how unhappy she is considering how the legends in the gospel fraternity are being treated.
According to her, there are a lot of benefits the legends in the secular fraternity enjoy especially when it comes to awards. Almost all award scheme ‘life time achievement award’ category doesn’t see the contributions of the gospel artistes. Honoring Daddy Lumba, Kojo Antwi, Pat Thomas, Paapa Yankson and forgetting Reverend Mary Ghansah, Helena Rabbles, Reverend Yawson, Diana Hopeson, Nana Yaw Asare, Yaw Sarpong and other high profiled gospel artistes who have contributed immensely in the gospel industry is unfair.
These gospel musicians have been in the music scene for more than two decades and must be celebrated.
Joyce Blessing said that if event organizers won’t take this initiative, men of God in our churches can take this responsibility and appreciate their contribution.
Joyce released her 5th studio album two months ago titled ‘Agyebum’ which is currently making waves on both radio and Television.
