After a successful première, Flowking Stone has finally unveiled the official music video for the top-notch record; ‘Rapping Drums’ directed by the dexterous Xbills Ebenezer.
With the level of creativity invested in the making of the song, the music video needed something more than the usual to compliment it. ‘Rapping Drums’ is off Flowking Stone’s first solo album titled “GIFTED”. The well-packed album has something for every music lover in regards to genre, and contents. This song is one of its kind in Ghana; and it does take rappers like Flowking to even think about a concept like this.
Xbills Ebenezer impressed me with this music video. I’d imagined something African but not something colourful and “Spiritual”. The video depicted the core concept of the rapping drums! The Ghanaian culture embraces the drums as it was the official way of sending messages across. Originally called the “Talking Drums” but Flowking Stone’s “Rapper Drums” modernized it and still served the core purpose.
Most people were in traditional wears ranging from celebration to war gears. I saw Flowking Stone depicted as a warrior, a leader, and king in the modern Hip-Hop scene. The pictures are powerful and makes me feel proud watching this music video as a Ghanaian. I am proud of this music video, proud of Flowking Stone and salute Xbills Ebenezer!
