Published

on

Ghanaian rapper, singer and record producer, E.L has been listed among the artists to be performing at the 2019 SXSW Music Festival, which is slated for March 11-17, 2019. The announcement was made known in November of 2018.

Aside the 2016 ”VGMA Artist of the Year” performing, he was the ONLY Ghanaian Afrobeat artist to be featured on SXSW FM 2019 Spotlight with his song ‘Overdose’. Other artists who were featured include: Adekunle Gold (Nigeria), King Kanja (Kenya), Urban Hype (Zambia), Anatii (South Africa), Stanley Enow (Cameroon) amongst others.

”I think it’s a great opportunity for me to showcase my new music on a world stage. First of all, it’s amazing that, the stage has been set because it’s been a lot of back and forth to establish a platform where Africans can come and do their thing.

This is a full set and it’s actually a very big step in our conquest of the world.

Also, Afrobeat is taking over slowly in musical circles and our place to show/let the world hear what we have to offer, so I’m excited and we are definitely planning on releasing my new album this year.

And I think the platform by SXSW will be a good launching spot to begin that journey”, expresses E.L

E.L will be joined by his Ghanaian counterparts, Samini, Efya, YFM’s DJ Kess and Jojo Abot at the festival which will take plance in Austin, Texas.

Other African artists booked to perform at the festival includes Simi, Adekunle Gold, Mayorkun, Vector, Falz, Mr Eazi, Seyi Shay, Yemi Alade, Cassper Nyovest, Victoria Kimani, Khaligraph and Anatii.

The South by Southwest (SXSW) Conference & Festivals celebrate the convergence of the interactive, film, and music industries. Fostering creative and professional growth alike, SXSW is the premier destination for discovery.

Each year, the SXSW Music Festival brings together the global music industry alongside film and technology professionals to make personal and business connections as well as discover the next generation of talent.

Not limited in genre or regional focus, fans, fellow musicians, industry professionals, and creatives from every discipline can enjoy a variety of musical styles at SXSW.
Listen to SXSW FM 2019 Afrobeat Spotlight here:

Showcases are curated by SXSW in collaboration with record labels, booking agencies, management and PR firms, export offices, publishers, media outlets, lifestyle brands, festivals and more. Performances take place in bars, clubs, parks, churches and hotels around downtown Austin.

Whoever Has My Sextape With Adebayor Should Release It For $100,000 – Yvonne Okoro Dares

Published

on

Actress Yvonne Okoro has finally dared all the people out there, especially bloggers, who claim that they have a correct sex tape of Togolese international footballer, Emmanuel Adebayor and herself to release it for a whopping trophy fee of $100,000 which will be paid by the footballer.

She made this dare when she was talking about her rumored relationships with the rapper Criss Waddle and Emmanuel Adebayor.

The ‘Contract’ actress stated that aside from the untrue rumor that she has been bonking with Criss Waddle all this time, she was recently told by a friend that some bloggers claim they have a sex tape of herself and Adebayor.

Miss Okoro further told Andy Dosty that she immediately sent a sarcastic message to Adebayor to ask if he recorded them when they had $eks the last time.

She added that this message got Adebayor cracked up with laughter because he knew it was not true.
She added that it was at this point that the former Tottenham player told her that he is willing to give anybody $100, 000 if they provide the said video.

Yvonne Okoro then dared anyone who claims has a sex tape of them to publish it for $100,000 Adebayor promised.

Citizen Welkins To Sue Medikal For Theft

Published

on

Award winning music act Citizen Welkins has laid accusations against AMG prodigy Medikal for stealing his music on two occasions.

Citizen Welkins spoke in a private interview saying,

“I sent Him my song titled ‘Confirm’ asking that He reviews for a feature which He rejected only to see him release a song later with the same title and concept. In a heartbreaking mood, Citizen Welkins laments the approach and hinted that His management is considering suing the rapper.
